Bloom – Rufus Du Soul
An all time classic. In the discussion for one the greatest electronic albums of our generation. “Innerbloom” and “You Were Right” are 10s. If you haven’t listened, it’s easy to digest and incredibly good.

Britpop – A.G. Cook
After the conclusion of the PC Music label in 2023, A.G. Cook releases his first album on New Alias. The concept album consists of 3 discs, each representing past, present, and future. It’s like a miniature version of 2020’s “7G.” It features frequent A.G. collaborators like Charli XCX (“Britpop”), Alaska Reid (“Pink Mask”), and Caroline Polachek (“Equine”), as well as one song (“Lucifer”) written and performed by Addison Rae, of all people. Give it a listen!

Coastal Grooves – Blood Orange
I caught myself thinking, “wow, I really wish there was more music like ‘Champagne Coast,’” and then I realized that there was a whole album of songs that feel just like it, which is essentially the feeling of an ice cold drink, complemented by good company and an orangey-red (perhaps even blood orange) sunset on a summer evening. This is seriously the only music I want being played at any pregame.

Concrete Cowboys – Buggin
If you like fun and simple hardcore, this is the album for you. Makes me want to two-step in a ball pit.

Dompen Presents: Grapefruit – Ayotemi
I once bought a wax pen and there was a web code on it for this album. Excellent for stoners and non stoners alike. “Pomelo” and “Grapefruit” are my personal favs.

Door, Door – The Boys Next Door
This album is super fun because it’s Nick Cave pre Birthday Party and Bad Seeds. I’d say this is early wave Australian punk, but it’s got something weird and spooky going on because of Nick Cave’s freaky vocal style.

Mama’s Eyes – Mette
This song is fire. It’s about finding peace. I can’t turn it off. Addictive.

Tweez – Slint
I think we can all agree that, for many artists, their first album is always the best. Though I love Slint and everything they have released, this album holds a special place in my heart for being lit asf. Their sound is so unique and distinct, and this album exemplifies it better than anything.
